The generosity of Madeleine Korbel Albright took many forms, but I am very grateful that one of them — her role in founding the Madeleine Korbel Albright Institute for Global Affairs at Wellesley College in 2009 — allowed me to get to know her entirely distinctive style of leadership and to count her as a friend.
