Will the senate sit later, or for additional days?

Well, the senate is in charge of its own fate (meaning it would have to vote to agree to it), but Katy Gallagher says ‘maybe’.

We are looking at extra hours or days in the Senate. Obviously, we can’t do that on our own if we don’t have the majority vote in the Senate.

So we’re negotiating again with the cross bench around that. I think that there is an acknowledgement that it is our job to sit and pass laws. We have a lot of laws to get through. And not a lot of time. So I expect that the Senate will sit additional hours.
