1) HBO has released the official teaser trailer for Somebody Somewhere. The seven-episode HBO original comedy series follows Sam (Bridget Everett), a true Kansan on the surface, but, beneath it all, struggling to fit the hometown mold. Out actor and comedian Jeff Hiller will play Joel, whose vision-board dreams of faith, family, and high-end kitchen appliances are ripped to pieces in a spiral of joy, shame, and music. Additionally, out drag king and comedian Murray Hill will play Fred, a University soil scientist by day, and Master of Ceremonies in a flashy suit by night. 2) HBO Max has released the official trailer for the Sex and the City revival And Just Like That…, out December 9. The 10-episode series will follow the original trio— out actress and activist Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis— as they explore the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s. Queer actors Sara Ramirez and Mario Cantone are also joining the cast. Watch the official trailer below!
3) Peacock has announced their upcoming British crime drama Vigil, out December 23. When a crew member is found dead on board the Trident nuclear submarine HMS Vigil, police in Scotland are called in to investigate. The six episode series explores the complex romance between Detective Chief Inspector Amy Silva (Suranne Jones) and her co-investigator Kirsten Longacre (Rose Leslie). In other film news, out Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox has been added to the cast of Netflix’s dystopian fantasy film Uglies, set in a world in which a compulsory operation at sixteen makes everyone pretty by conforming to an ideal standard of beauty.
4) Syfy and USA Network have renewed the horror drama series Chucky for a second season in 2022. The series is executive produced by out screenwriter, film director, and creator of the Child’s Play franchise, Don Mancini. In the first season, a queer 14-year-old boy named Jake stumbles upon a Chucky doll at a vintage suburban yard sale, throwing an idyllic American town into chaos.
5) Out actress, model, and singer Cara Delevingne has been cast in Season 2 of Only Murders in the Building. The murder mystery series follows three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one when a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building. 6) NBC has announced their upcoming sitcom Aunties, from The Amber Ruffin Show team. Written by Emmy-nominated screenwriter and performer Shantira Jackson, the comedy loosely follows her life and tells the story of what happens when a young woman goes back home and helps raise the women who raised her.

7) Discovery+ has announced the production of a second season of Control, originally released on YouTube as a seven-episode web series for a Warsaw Film School project from Polish 22-year-old Nataza Parzymies. Series two will continue to tell the story of young lesbian lovers Natalia and Majka, set around Christmas time. Check out episode one of the first series below!
8) Out singer and songwriter Kim Petras has announced the release of her new single “Coconuts”. Stream on all platforms here and watch her perform “Coconuts” live at the MTV EMAs below! In more music news, non-binary singer Miles Francis released their new project “B.O.Y.” which includes covers of N*SYNC’s “I Want You Back” and Backstreet Boys’s “The Call,” unraveling the complexity of gender in boy band culture. 10) Out actor, singer, and author Billy Porter has dropped a new single “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”. 11) Dear Media has announced their forthcoming romantic comedy podacst series Bone, Marry, Bury, starring queer actor, producer, and writer Harvey Guillén and Modern Family star Sarah Hyland. The series narrator, Gabe (Guillén), follows his 26-year-old best friend Allie (Hyland) as she attends a New Years Eve party that will forever change her life. Rounding out the cast is out RuPaul’s Drag Race star Trixie Mattel and out Saved by the Bell star Josie Totah. Listen Bone, Marry, Bury in February 2022!
