Best Beauty, @theestallion: Megan Thee Stallion’s smokey cat eye, glossy lip and sharp contouring was the best beauty look of the night, and the pairing with the slicked back hair only elevated the effort.

Best Newcomer, @anitta: It’s not Anitta’s first VMAs, but her Schiaperelli couture gown puts her in a whole new fashion league. The keyhole cutout black dress with nude silk bralette is peak Daniel Roseberry, but in the setting of the VMAs it feels elevated but still true to the adventure of the VMAs.

Icon Award, @TaylorSwift: After taking home nine VMAs at the 2023 ceremony, Taylor Swift is now second to only Beyonce for most wins. She earns the icon status from the night, dressed in a long black Versace gown that references the famous Elizabeth Hurley safety pin gown.

Most Daring, @dojacat: From the beginning Doja Cat has been fearless in her fashion choices, and while they’re not all hits we have to give her credit for always bringing the “wow” factor. Here, she appears caught in a spiderweb, although if this is a reference to “Kiss from The Spider Woman” all is forgiven.

Best Shoes, @ritaora: Has been known to rock sky-high footwear on the VMAs carpet, but these @marcjacobs Kiki Boots propell the singer to new heights.
