Italian fashion has always been about product and industrial know-how, with designers who are less focused on selling art or entertainment than ready-to-wear that people really want to wear. Still, this season’s Milan men’s fashion week saw Italian fashion stalwarts like Prada, Fendi, Gucci, and Zegna as well as visiting designers like JW Anderson managing to layer wearable products with ideas. Some focused on the post-pandemic new normal, while others were more escapist, exploring utopian and dystopian visions. The fashion week was short — a mere three days — but full of energy. Swipe through to discover some of the key looks.
