Only 2% of Americans now live in counties with high Covid-19 levels

Just 2% of the United States population — about 7 million people — lives in a county where the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention still recommends universal indoor masking, according to the latest Covid-19 community level data, updated by the CDC on Thursday.
