The popular show Enamorándonos on UniMás will celebrate its first same sex wedding April 27 when contestants Cristal and Jatziry get married. This will be the show’s 16th wedding and the first to feature a same-sex couple. Several same-sex couples have been on the show, which follows participants from an initial on-air meeting to later sharing how the date went. The shows airs every weeknight and enjoys strong ratings, at times reaching more than 4 million viewers in a month.

Cristal, 33, was on the show two years ago, and was the first female participant in search of a same-sex connection. She and Jatziry, 29, had been in contact on social media, and, after they met on the show, went on to date in November 2022, then moved in together. Their proposal was also televised and aired last December.

The wedding will also take place during this year’s Lesbian Visibility Week.
