Must-See LGBTQ TV: 'Joel Kim Booster: Psychosexual' and 'Motherland: Fort Salem' premiere Tuesday, 'The Umbrella Academy' premieres on Wednesday, and 'Loot' premieres on Friday!

On Tuesday, out actor and comedian Joel Kim Booster’s stand-up special Joel Kim Booster: Psychosexual premieres on Netflix. In his three-set act, Booster explores the cultural nuances of being Asian as he gets older– also getting into his fascination for human sexuality and much more. The third and final season of Motherland: Fort Salem drops this Tuesday. The supernatural drama series features the popular queer couple Raelle and Scylla, as well as non-binary actor Ess Hödlmoser as soldier M. Set in an alternate America where witches ended their persecution over 300 years ago by cutting a deal with the government, the traditional roles of gender and power are flipped in the series. Motherland: Fort Salem: Tuesday, 10 pm on Freeform or next day on Hulu. 

On Wednesday, the third season of The Umbrella Academy arrives on Netflix. After putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday, the Umbrella Academy returns home to the present, but they realize things aren’t how they left them. Enter the Sparrow Academy, who immediately clash with the Umbrellas. Navigating challenges, losses, and surprises of their own —and dealing with an unidentified destructive entity wreaking havoc in the Universe— they need to convince Dad’s new and possibly better family to help them put right what their arrival made wrong. In the season, Viktor Hargreeves is shown sitting at a diner with his adopted sibling Allison Hargreeves, and his new look reflects out trans actor Elliot Page’s own transition. The series premiere of the Apple TV+ workplace comedy Loot debuts on Friday. Loot centers on billionaire Molly Novak, whose life of luxury is tarnished when she learns her husband of twenty years has betrayed her. After a very public downward spiral that lands her in the tabloids, Molly turns to a charity foundation in her name run by the no-nonsense Sofia, played by out Pose star Michaela Jaé Rodriguez. Additionally, out Fire Island star Joel Kim Booster will co-star as Molly’s loyal assistant Nicholas. Loot: Friday, on Apple TV+.
