Must-See LGBTQ TV: New seasons of ‘Raven’s Home’, ‘Single Drunk Female’ and ‘A Black Lady Sketch Show’ premiere this week!

Raven is back home with a sixth season tonight on Disney Channel! In this season of the GLAAD Media Award-nominated reboot, Raven and her crew travel to London to visit Victor, where they become entangled in a mix-up of majestic proportions when Alice is mistaken for a member of the royal family. In addition to the titular out actress Raven-Symoné, transgender actress Juliana Joel is set to return as Nikki, Raven’s assistant who was the first trans character on the network. Additionally, Marissa Reyes returns as Cami, Alana’s bisexual daughter and Booker’s love interest. Raven’s Home: Sundays, 8pm on Disney Channel.  

On Wednesday, the sophomore season of Single Drunk Female airs on Freeform. The season kicks off as Sam finds herself a year and a half into her sobriety journey; with a new job and a new potential love interest, Sam thinks she has a life worth living and throws herself a party. Meanwhile, Brit tries to convince everyone that she and Joel have the perfect divorce. Out actress Rebecca Henderson reprises her role as Olivia, a brilliant melancholic lesbian who sponsors Sam at Alcoholics Anonymous. Single Drunk Female: Wednesdays, 10pm on Freeform or next day on Hulu. 

HBO’s Emmy-winning comedy series A Black Lady Sketch Show returns for its fourth season on Friday. The show features several queer writers on the staff, led by out head writer and showrunner Lauren Ashley Smith, and often spotlights queer comedians and guest stars. New cast members joining the hilarious ensemble of Black talent includes queer content creator DaMya Gurley, Angel Laketa Moore, and Tamara Jade! A Black Lady Sketch Show: Friday, 11pm on HBO.
