Must-See LGBTQ TV: ‘Princess Power’ debuts on Monday, ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ returns on Wednesday, and ‘Harlem’ drops on Friday!

Grab the remote, set your DVR, or queue up your streaming service of choice! GLAAD is bringing you the LGBTQ highlights on TV this week. Check back every Sunday for up-to-date coverage in LGBTQ-inclusive programming on TV.

1.) Netflix’s new preschool series Princess Power, based on the Princesses Wear Pants books, debuts tomorrow! A celebration of friendship and self-expression, the series follows four young princesses from the major fruit kingdoms: Kira Kiwi, Beatrice “Bea” Blueberry, Rita Raspberry and Penelope “Penny” Pineapple. The series also features Bea’s two fathers, King Barton voiced by out actor Andrew Rannells and Sir Benedict Blueberry voiced by out actor Tan France. Princess Power: Netflix on Monday.

2.) The beloved Proud Family is returning to the small screen this Wednesday! GLAAD Media Award-nominated reboot The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder picks up the story of its central character, Penny Proud, alongside her iconic family and friends. The season also highlights culturally specific experiences of the Black community and features gender non-conforming teen Michael Collins (out TV personality EJ Johnson) and interracial fathers Barry (out actor and producer Zachary Quinto) and Randall (out actor and director Billy Porter). The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder: Disney+ on Wednesday. 

3.) On Friday, Prime Video’s hit comedy Harlem premieres its second season, with two episodes dropping every week! After blowing up her career and disrupting her life in season one, Camille has to figure out how to put the pieces back together; Tye, a successful queer dating-app creator, considers her future; Quinn, a loveable bisexual fashion designer, goes on a journey of self-discovery; and Angie, a filter-free singer and actress, is startled when her career takes a promising turn. Harlem: Prime Video on Friday.
