Must-See LGBTQ TV: 'Tom Swift' premieres Tuesday, , 'This Is Going To Hurt' debuts Thursday, new seasons of 'The Boys' and 'P-Valley' premiere on Friday, and more!

On Tuesday, the Nancy Drew spinoff series Tom Swift will premiere on The CW. After the shocking disappearance of his father, brilliant and unimaginably wealthy inventor Tom Swift (out bisexual actor Tian Richards) sets out to learn the truth, leaving his comfortable home to investigate unexplained phenomena and evade the illuminati-scale group intent to stop him. Potential love interests include his trans and pansexual bodyguard Isaac (out trans actor Marquise Vilsón) who is committed to his chosen family, and the mysterious and dangerous Rowan (Albert Mwangi). Generation Drag will premiere this Wednesday on Discovery+. The series follows five teens – Jameson, Noah, Vinny, Bailey and Nabela – and their families as they prepare to compete at the Dragutante, a drag show designed as a platform for LGBTQ teens to express themselves in Denver, Colorado. The show provides an intimate look at the lives of these families as they support their kids who are navigating their true identities. Generation Drag: Wednesday on Discovery+.

Discovery+ will release the series The Book of Queer on Thursday. In a celebration of history’s forgotten LGBTQ heros, kings, and queens – from trans warriors to gay emperors – the series will delve into the lives of groupbreaking queer invidivuals throughout history. Narrated by out guest stars Alex Newell, Margaret Cho, Ross Mathews, Leslie Jordan, and Dominique Jackson, the subjects of the episodes include ancient Greek poet Sappho, Alexander the Great, King James, Joan of Arc, Akhenaten, Lenardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Alan Turning, Josephine Baker, Stormé DeLarverie, Sylvia Rivera, Eleanor Roosevelt, Gilbert Baker, Harvey Milk, Marsha P. Johnson, Ma Rainey and Bayard Rustin! The Book of Queer: Thursday on Discovery+. 

This Is Going To Hurt, starring out actor Ben Wishsaw, will debut on AMC+ this Thursday. Created, written, and executive produced by out author and comedian Adam Kay, the limited series is based on his award-winning international memior of the same name. This Is Going To Hurt follows Adam (Whishaw), an overworked and overwhelmed gay doctor who is desperately clinging to his personal life. With 97-hour work weeks in the labor ward, life-and-death decisions, and terrifying responsibilities, Adam makes a mistake. This Is Going To Hurt: Thursday on AMC+ and Sundace Now.

On Friday, The Boys season three will premiere on Amazon Prime. The series follows a group of vigilantes attempting to expose the truth about The Seven, a group of superheroes who abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good, and the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that mangages their images and covers up their dirty secrets. Dominique McElligot plays Queen Maeve, a disillusioned bisexual member of The Seven with enhanced physical stregnth and durability. The upcoming season will continue narrative threads from the previous season, including Starlight and Queen Maeve’s quest to reveal Vought’s nefarious actions. The Boys: Friday on Amazon Prime Video. 

Season two of P-Valley will premiere this Friday on Starz. When darkness descends upon Chucalissa, errybody and they mama must fight tooth and talon to survive. While some take flight to perilous new heights, others dig in their stilettos and stand their ground no matter the cost. Out actor Nicco Annan plays queer owner and proprietor of Mississippi strip club The Pynk, Uncle Clifford. P-Valley: Friday, on Starz.
