1) Netflix has released the official teaser trailer for Inventing Anna—a true story of a total fake. The ten-episode series is based on a 2018 New York magazine article about Anna Sorokin, otherwise known as Anna Delvey, an infamous scammer who tricked New York City’s elite out of hundreds of millions of dollars. Among the cast is out GLAAD Media Award-winning actress and LGBTQ activist Laverne Cox. Inventing Anna premieres on February 11, 2022. Watch the teaser trailer below!
2) Lifetime has released an official trailer for their first lesbian holiday film Under the Christmas Tree. Marketing whiz Alma Beltran (out actress, filmmaker, and director Elise Bauman) and Christmas tree whisperer Charlie Freemont (Tattiawna Jones) cross paths when Charlie finds the perfect tree for the Maine Governor’s Holiday Celebration, right in Alma’s backyard. While they initially spar, romantic sparks soon begin to fly between the two women as the enchanting tree and some Christmas fairy dust brings out the best in them. 3) HBO has released the premiere date and first teaser trailer for the second season of Euphoria, which follows a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma, and social media. The show has featured out actors Hunter Schafer, Barbie Ferreira, Quintessa Swindell and Bobbi Salvör Menuez and many queer characters, including fan favorites Rue (Zendaya) and Jules (Schafer). 4) Out America’s Next Top Model and Dancing with the Stars winner Nyle DiMarco has announced the production of a new drama series Deaf Punk, in collaboration with Melrose Placed’s Sami Housman and Revelations Entertainment. Inspired by San Francisco’s famed music venue The Deaf Club, the series will explore how a cultural revolution was supported by the unlikely union of two minority groups.
5) Peacock has announced a second season of the critically acclaimed musical comedy series We Are Lady Parts. The show centers an all-female, all-Muslim punk band in London, featuring the queer lead drummer Ayesha (Juliette Motamed) and social media influencer Zarina (Sofia Barclay). The upcoming season will continue to follow the “Lady Parts” crew as they explore issues of identity, friendship, love and music.

6) Food Network has announced the renewal of Worst Cooks in America, starring out chef, television personality, and former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education, Anne Burrell. This season the challenges are bigger and bolder than ever, as married couples, long-lost cousins, and more battle to improve their horrific cooking skills. The premiere episode will feature out drag queens best friends Marti G Cummings and Peachez Iman Cummings. Watch Worst Cooks in America on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 on the Food Network or Wednesday, December 29 on Discovery+.
7) Out actor and former White House staff member Kal Penn has been set to star in the FX comedy pilot Belated, executive produced by out Rescue Me and The Job co-creator Peter Tolan. The half-hour comedy follows Owen (Penn), a recently out man in his 40s, and his ex-wife Diana as they attempt to find their new normal and take on new relationships while continuing to co-parent together. The project also follows an unexpected intergenerational friendship between Owen and Clay, a 17-year-old transgender teen.

8) HBO has announced The Weeknd’s upcoming drama series The Idol, featuring out singer-songwriter and actor Troye Sivan and out actress and director Anne Heche. Set against the backdrop of the music industry, the six-episode series centers on a self-help guru and leader of a modern cult, who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol.
9) Out The Bachelor and former NFL star Colton Underwood has announced the release date of his new Netflix docuseries Coming Out Colton. The unscripted series will document Coltons life before and after he came out publicly in April during an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America. Watch Coming Out Colton on December 3!
10) Out drag queen, singer-songwriter, actor and activist Honey Davenport (James Heath-Clark) has announced their new EP Love is God, featuring out drag queens Kevin Aviance, Manila Luzon, Tammie Brown, Lala Ri, and Jackie Cox, debuting January 14. They have also shared a new video for the title track, featuring Luzon and Electropoint. Watch the “Love is God” music video below!
